The Challenge:
We were contacted by Celtic FC when they were playing a European game in Glasgow and required the services of a Norwegian interpreter to do public address announcements at the stadium to the away supporters on the night of the game.
Our Approach:
We did not receive much notice of this booking from the client. In fact we were first contacted on the afternoon of the match due to take place that same evening. Due to the short notice, we quickly made contact with all our interpreters and were able to find one who was available and willing come through from near Edinburgh to attend the match at Celtic Park in Glasgow.
The Result:
Our interpreter attended the match at Celtic Park and was asked by the authorities and the police to make a number of crowd announcements before the game, at half-time, and at the final whistle. After the game, his services were called upon to help interpret for the Norwegian team at a post-game press conference.
