Client: Dyslexia Scotwest

Work Type: Translation

Project Type: Charity

The Challenge:
The client is a charity working with the dyslexic in Scotland. They wanted to produce an information leaflet into five languages (apart from English): Arabic, Chinese, Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu. They came to us with the text of their leaflet already written and a design already made, but they wanted us to translate and typeset the leaflet.

Our Approach:
As always with a publication, the text was translated and proofread before the typesetting stage. The typeset text was then checked itself for accuracy and proofs of the leaflet were signed-off by the client before the various language versions were sent off for printing.

The Result:
The project was well received by the client and the leaflets, as far as we are aware, have been taken up by many individuals in ethnic minority communities who have dyslexia.
