SCDI has used Global Connects translation services for a number of years, particularly for Japanese and Chinese brochures. On every occasion we have found the service to be quick, efficient and, most importantly, the end product has been accurately translated. We are more than happy to use Global Connections for any future translation work.

Legal Translation

Global Connects can provide legal translations in most of our languages whether for the legal profession, for businesses and organisations or for members of the public.

We use professional legal translators, many of whom are solicitors, legal academics or other professionals who have a detailed knowledge of the law as well as impeccable language credentials. Our legal clients include courts, tribunals and solicitor firms not only in Glasgow and Edinburgh but throughout Scotland and the rest of the UK.

We can provide specialist legal translators when a document contains specialised or complicated legal words and terminology, to ensure a true and accurate understanding of the legal text is properly conveyed in the target language of the translation.

Where required, Global Connects can also provide certified translations for all legal documents. Our certified translations are acceptable at registrars, courts, the UK Passport Office and other organisations and provide peace of mind when submitting documents for official purposes. There is a small additional charge to have a translation certified and the process involves stamping the translation and affixing a certificate on the back.

We have translated a wide range of legal documents, including:

  • Birth, marriage and death certificates
  • Affidavits
  • Wills and Trust deeds
  • Contracts
  • Tenancy agreements
  • Legal correspondence
  • Court papers
  • Insurance documents

The cost to have legal documents translated is often higher than for standard texts because we use specialist translators with the relevant expertise in legal terminology.
