The Challenge:
Our client was a manufacturing company which had undertaken work for a customer in Spain. There were various issues that the company based in Scotland needed to discuss with their Spanish customer.
Our Approach:
The client found it most convenient to address the matters by telephone and so we organised several appointments for the client to come to our office to sit side-by-side with the one of our Spanish interpreters who had a strong business background and carry out the necessary phone calls. We could have arranged for the interpreter to go to the client’s office to do the work, but our client preferred to hold the meetings and make the calls from our office, so we accommodated that approach.
The Result:
Our client was able to speak on several different occasions with contacts in Spain and effectively communicate his points and understand the responses of his customers in Spain. This enabled the company to settle the matter to the satisfaction of all parties involved.
