Telephone Interpreting

In situations where a face-to-face interpreter cannot be used, due to lack of time or remoteness of location, our telephone interpreting service may be a convenient alternative.

Our telephone interpreting service is ideal for:

  • Emergency situations
  • Brief conversations
  • Overseas telephone conversations
  • Organising a face-to-face appointment with someone who cannot speak English

We can quickly connect you to a qualified interpreter who will provide an instant interpreting service.

How our telephone interpreting works:

1.    If you and the person whom you require the interpreter to speak with are in the same place:

After your initial call to make the booking and provide us with your details, an interpreter will call you back within a few minutes.

2.    If you wish to speak to someone over the phone (e.g. a client overseas):

The interpreter will normally travel to your location to speak over the phone to the other person while with you. The exception to this is where your phone system allows conference calls. If this is the case, please let us know and we can assist you so that you can have the person you wish to speak with and the interpreter on a conference call.

Please note that we are unable to provide a conference call service using our telephone system as it does not support a 4-way conference call scenario (you, your client, the interpreter and us).
